Интенсивный курс английского языка в Брайтоне, Великобритания, июль 2007.

I brought the best impressions from my staying in the UK. It seems that during 3 weeks I've got such great experience not only regarding the language, though the improvement in English, no doubt, is on the first place. As far as I took the intensive course we had the morning classes and the afternoon classes, so that you're involved into the studying language nearly whole day long. "Studying" in its literal meaning isn't quite a suitable word, since the lessons were in the form of games, disputes, discussions, different kinds of activities, when you didn't notice the input, but get pleasure from fun activities and communication with representatives of many cultures. In addition that gives you a unique chance to know more about the countries the names of which you might even don't know.
The language environment is everywhere outside the school. Whenever you go, English is everywhere and you have to use it, read it, to listen to native-speakers, to understand them. A great role here belongs to the hostfamily. It's very important to establish good relationship with them; they can really become your friends during your staying in the city. Meanwhile they make a conclusion after meeting you about your country. Indeed, I have had to break some stereotypes about Russia and tell about the current situation, as British have not so good image of Russia coming from the news report.
Brighton is a wonderful city. It isn't a megapolice, it isn't that much crowded, but you can enjoy green parks, blue seaside, water activities, plenty of cozy cafes and restaurants with various cuisine, small and big brand shops, everyone can find something to his taste. On weekends we visited some famous landmarks, including Oxford University, Stonehendge and, of course, Great London.

For me every day in Brighton was memorable. As I've told, it's great experience: visiting this unique country and its fabulous capital, making new friends, studying English in a pleasurable way. All that made my studying both enjoyable and beneficial.
